SAY NO TO BULLYING: Velg and Ellee say NO! 2 Bullies

NO! 2 Bullies is still under construction and is in the infant stages of a huge and growing issue.

We would like to thank Michelle Weaver, Director of VELG (Voc Ed Learning Group) ,for supporting "NO! 2 Bullies". Michelle holds the current title as the 2009 Queensland Winner and a National Finalist in the Telstra Young Business Women's Award. She sponsored "NO! 2 Bullies" at the 2010 VELG National Conference, where delegates kindly donated more than $800 to the campaign, and continues to be a sponsor.

"NO! 2 Bullies" has been set up by 15-year-old Ellee, who was a victim of bullying at high school and in primary school. When Michelle heard of why Ellee created "NO! 2 Bullies" Michelle didn't hesitate getting involved. As a former teacher Michelle could most certainly relate to the issue.

Ellee, to her credit has projected her experience of a negative encounter into a positive adventure to support other victims. Say No To Bullying

Ellee's NO! 2 Bullies campaign doesn't stop here at the website! Ellee together with the assistance of her mum and Michelle Weaver are planning a special day next year for 2 schools, one in Brisbane and the other hopefully in the South Burnett area. We will be armed with sample bags containing useful "NO! 2 Bullies" items such as rulers, rubbers, note books etc. for students. Ellee is determined to get the message out to the bullies, that "Bullies Aren't Cool"

Once a month in the near future we hope to find a student (through the schools) that has had the misfortune of experiencing bullying at some level and send them a box of products and other goodies.

The "NO! 2 Bullies" products send a very clear message. Bullying is not Rad! or Cool! and in fact it's down right intolerable. The product labels are designed by Ellee and Ellee can't wait to get the first line of products out there to students and adults alike.

A few of the first products include "Bullies Suck" lollypops, "Burst A Bully" balloons, "Block A Bully" sunblock, "Wash Your Hands Of Bullies" hand soap to name a few. The products will be updated on the "Products" page very soon. Keep an eye out for them!

Ellee is in the initial stages of creating an e-mag. This magazine will feature all sorts of interesting things. There will be pages on say "NO! 2 Bullies" and will constantly feature sponsors/supporters and anyone who would like to be involved. A feature page "Dear Ellee" will display letters, pictures etc. sent in from kids of all ages and adults. Please feel free to email Ellee to feature on this page. We will include a page "Cool Kid Of The Month", get writing and send Ellee an email along with a pic to feature on this page.
